Tim is another of the " Renaissance " players joining the club in the last 70's.
At that time he was a regular member of all teams. weekends and midweek, and was also a very fine and astute captain. Latterly his ever growing family has restricted appearances but the record speaks for itself. Tim is one of the finest all round cricketers to play for the club.
A belligerent but technically gifted batsmen he has scored over 7800 career runs
at an average of nearly 24, including 3 centuries and 37 50's.
As a bowler he started
off as a lively medium pacer, but is more often found now spearing in off breaks
which are almost impossible to score off. Tim is great at tying up an end. He has
taken 493 wickets at a cost of just 16.42.
Tim does not enjoy chasing the ball too
much in the field and can usually be found stationed at first slip where a very safe
pair of hands has enable him to take 150 career catches.
